Mike Huckabee 2012
In recent poll at the Value Voters summit, according to Fox News, Mike Huckabee was voted as the preferred presidential candidate for 2012. Major republican leaders such as John Boehner even took up positions of support behind Huckabee. This is what we need, a president who isnt afraid to say no to the left, who isnt afraid to say no to spending, who isnt afraid to take the moral high, who wont support organizations who will willingly and knowingly support smuggling underage girls into the U.S. for a prositution ring (ACORN). Though my blog doesnt reach many voices (one at the moment) I feel it is important for me to openly support Mike Huckabee GO HUCK 2012!

Jimmy Carter
Jimmy Carter was a lack luster president at best. Try to name a few of the things he has done for America off hand. Well now you have one to add to the list, just when everyone felt that race relations were getting better Carter had to play the race card in an issue that has nothing to do with race. Carter was quoted as saying "any criticism against President Obama is racially based." How can a WHITE man from the barely post jim crow 7o's claim that in 2009 any criticism of a president, who's policies aren't necessarily moderate, is racial? I believe in an America with free speech, last time I checked it was in our second amendment rights, but who knows maybe that was taken without the American people knowing. Would it be right to say that every criticism against George Bush was intellectual discrimination, or perhaps it was that he was from the south that people were discriminating against him, maybe we are all discriminating on Jimmy Carter because of his age. America we need to wake up and see that not every comment that someone makes in criticism of another person is because they are trying to discriminate against that person, maybe and stick with me on this, maybe they just aren't doing a good job.

Government Sponsored Prositution
So in case you haven't heard the news in the last four days, ACORN, a government supported organization who's job is to keep people in their homes in urban areas, has been shown to be openly giving funds to, and advice for starting a prostitution ring in four cities from east coast to west coast. This information was uncovered by a two undercover journalists posing as a prostitute and her pimp who went around to ACORN offices in the east and west and simply had to mention they were in the business of prostitution and were given all the advice they needed for how to get funds set up, how to make illegal underage girls (to be used as sex slaves) into dependents and even what to call the money on tax forms. This simply cannot and will not stand, thank you to the senate for cutting off the funding with a vote of 83 to 7, but to take that vote one step further, i agree with Sean Hannity when he asked a guest last night how, after hearing the evidence, 7 senators can still stand up and wanting to continue funding ACORN. How could this organization, which Obama so vehemently supported go completely unvetted? Not to mention have 8.5 billion dollars of American tax payer funds available to them through the stimulus. If Mr. Obama cannot find a way to get us out of the recession and do it with companies the Americans can trust, I don't see a future past 2012.

A resolution concerning Mr. Wilson
I was cruising the political news when I came across a story I am somewhat familiar with, but had not completely followed until now, the resolution of disapproval of Representative Joe Wilson of South Carolina. In case you haven't followed the story, Rep. Wilson accused, by yelling during an address, the President of being a liar. While I agree that Rep. Wilson should be disciplined for his actions on the floor, the Democrats have begun to run wild with their accusations and assumptions concerning Wilson. In an article from the Fox News website, Representative Hank Johnson of Georgia said people would "don white hoods and ride through the countryside" if Rep. Wilson was not punished. The article goes onto cite that it has been suggested that Wilson's outburst was a nod to racist protest groups. This cannot stand! The democrats cannot be allowed to go around Washington claiming republicans having ties to groups such as the Klu Klux Klan. A New York Times columnist wrote that no democrat ever shouted liar, at Bush. Well no republican during the Bush era ever blew a simple remark out of proportion to the point of accusing ties to domestic terrorist organizations.
Welcome to my story
My name is Daniel Faas. A social moderate, fiscal conservative, going to school in a primarily democratic campus at Luther College. I have decided to start a blog to get my feelings out to the world so I might be able to reach more than just the College Republicans here on campus. I have been a firm supporter of both Mike Huckabee, and later, John McCain on their respective campaigns and though I was unable to vote, did my best by making 2000+ phone calls for Senator McCain. My hope is that America can be brought back from the current fiscal, and economic situations we are in. I realize that it is a time of recession and government spending needs to increase, but it needs to be both justified and free of pork spending. If I am only able to reach a few perked ears on the subject, then I have done my job, it is far more admirable to yell loudly and fail, than to sit silently and watch your opponent win unopposed.
