A resolution concerning Mr. Wilson

I was cruising the political news when I came across a story I am somewhat familiar with, but had not completely followed until now, the resolution of disapproval of Representative Joe Wilson of South Carolina. In case you haven't followed the story, Rep. Wilson accused, by yelling during an address, the President of being a liar. While I agree that Rep. Wilson should be disciplined for his actions on the floor, the Democrats have begun to run wild with their accusations and assumptions concerning Wilson. In an article from the Fox News website, Representative Hank Johnson of Georgia said people would "don white hoods and ride through the countryside" if Rep. Wilson was not punished. The article goes onto cite that it has been suggested that Wilson's outburst was a nod to racist protest groups. This cannot stand! The democrats cannot be allowed to go around Washington claiming republicans having ties to groups such as the Klu Klux Klan. A New York Times columnist wrote that no democrat ever shouted liar, at Bush. Well no republican during the Bush era ever blew a simple remark out of proportion to the point of accusing ties to domestic terrorist organizations.
